Re: Announcement - new QL Interface

Another note - the boot file is very nice, easy to comment out or remove comments for things you want - I removed the comments for Hermes, so that it would be recognised and I could turn the keyclicks off!

Re: Announcement - new QL Interface

Oh, in the menu there is a load of games, but they aren't part of the install and the games folder that is created is empty... Did my install go wrong there or do these need to be sourced separately?

Re: Announcement - new QL Interface

I've now been able to successfully install the starter kit on my non-TDI setup, after a couple of attempts. (Running Minerva on ROM switcher, Hermes, the Tetroid backplane, Zaxon QubIDE, and V3 Gold Card) With unreliable floppies and drives at the time, I had to do it all through the Q-emulator, Qub...

Re: Testing Tetroid backplane and GC

...I'll be digging out some black Lego pieces to construct a makeshift housing for the cards and backplane. And I've just about gotten used to the ideal combination of emulators and the Habi image editor to transfer files without corruption/header issues, so I can start playing around with some more...

Re: CTL plug type

I noticed today that an ebayer is currently selling a handful of CTL connectors, already crimped to a length of wire, if anyone would find that useful: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sinclair-QL-CTL-Joystick-Connector-and-Cable/173275334156 If you combined that, with this from my previous post... https:...

Re: ByteDelight

Just to confirm I've got the drive now, and it is brilliant (dare I say 'delightful') so it was worth the wait! Well packed, seems well made, worked straight out of the box, smooth, understated drive noises... I didn't want to use my old drive on new disks, in case it scratched them up, so this new ...

Re: Testing Tetroid backplane and GC

Just to say a big thank you to Tetroid, for sending me the updated ROM for my Gold Card. I'm extremely pleased to say it is now working with the backplane!! And with the Tetroid battery replacement module added in, it is also telling the right time! It took some willpower to go outside (and enjoy th...

Re: ByteDelight

Thanks both, good to know! I figured it was probably just a case of them being busy with something. Got the dispatch confirmation this morning, so all good now!

Anyone ordered stuff from this seller, on sellmyretro? Seems to be popular, I believe they are responsible for a popular Spectrum add-on ('divmmc-enjoy!') Ordered double floppy drive ten days ago, paid immediately, have heard nothing! Emailed after 7 days, no response as yet. I am hoping they are ju...
