Re: FlashbackSE misbehaving on Q68

Is this the FlashbackSE upgrade which I offer (v2.03) - I did some changes to the display handling to overcome issues with the pointer environment - it could be that this version would fix the issue on the Q68 ( I seem to recall seeing something similar, but it was many years ago). That said, it is...

FlashbackSE misbehaving on Q68

Has anyone ever tested FlashbackSE on a Q68? Starting it in other resolutions than the standard 512x256 results in a screen showing the Q68 Boot Menu as found in the default WIN of my Q68 but no choice can be made, no keys are acted upon. A reset is needed. Has this Boot screen been preserved somewh...

Re: QD SBASIC Parser Thing

The QBASIC thing that comes as a separate extension, needs to be LRESPRed in the boot as an extension, configured to tell it where QLIB is located and QD needs to be passed the command line \T QBASIC to put QBASIC on the F10 key, or a copy of QD configured to have QBASIC as its extension thing. Is ...

Re: RLE compression for sprites

Hi BSJR While I can load a mode 64 sprite from EDDICON and save it out as mode 33 or 32 I cannot see how I can select RLE compression for the saved sprite amongst the options in the various menus of SQRview. I have checked the sprite files that I saved via SQRview and none of them have the RLEx mar...

Re: RLE compression for sprites

Hi The Q-Dock sprites were mostly made with Marcel's PNGconv program. It was a while back, I don't remember much about it now! I thought that might be the case as I don't think there is a program yet for the QL that compresses sprite data. Lovely sprites in Qdock btw. There is also SMSQEsprites by ...

Re: SMSQmulator v2.27 bug, perhaps?

Hi Per, I'll check again, but it definitely returned 20. I use virtualbox already, for nany things, but I'm loathe to have to install a windows VB just to run QPC2. Happy Christmas. Cheers, Norm. MACHINE returns 20, PROCESSOR returns 0, at least under W$7. But SMSQm8 is m68000 only so odd addressin...

Re: SuperToolkit II: PARUSE(name) - is it a bug or feature?

Thank You Rich. In fact I was on the Online SB Reference page and saw the hint for the error in the manual, but didn't check that the table there had the correct results. Only after your answer I did read the table again and checked it. PARUSE results are 0 (unset), 2 (variable) and 3 (array) and N...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread

The HP keyboard works OK on my PC, so may be too much power is drawn by the old keys? Not if your 5V power supply is stabilized and delivers at least 1A as recommended. This is the first time I ever hear about a non-working keyboard. Especially that mouse was affected is weird - both ports are comp...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread

I am still having issues to find any mouse working with splitter supplied. Initially I thought it is because I have used USB to ps/2 adapter, but yesterday I tested setup with keyboard and mouse both having cord with PS/2 connector. If mouse is connected, Q68 halts at ROM loader (I guess by trying ...

Re: Mawdraw problem (easyptr4)

I'm trying to do something different, you print the string after clicking, I need to present a list in which each element is divided into several lines, to scroll through this list and eventually select an element Giorgio This is just a proof of concept. I have not tested what happens when a list n...
