Re: Today I Received...

Actually a couple of days ago I received a box full of QL Today magazines from Rich Mellor
which was nice.
Also a self-assembly bookcase/cabinet which I have half completed.
Now waiting for a tiny widget that's required to do the cabinet.
And a couple of books.

Re: Loopy bugs

The online SuperBasic manual has some interesting comments on FOR loops -
including how different ROMs will process some FOR statements differently.
And some compilers may also have issues.
And SMS.

Re: Today I Received...

Arrived today 8 years worth of QUANTA magazines.
Two years are duplicate but at a price of just under a pound per mag for the rest of the 6 years it's a lot cheaper than I've been paying :)
The dupes will find their way to a marketplace in due course.

Re: Today I Received...

Today I received a copy of QL World Vol 1 Issue 5 December 1985. At this date QL User was a far superior magazine, but when the two merged it became QL World and not QL User. I'm still collecting the hard copy copies of the QL mags - there's a batch of QL Users on the way so I'll update my wants lis...

Re: Sinclair QL Storage Solutions

Lack of good games on the QL : 1) After the initial enthusiasm, most of the larger software houses soon left, for either the established 8-bits - C64 and Spectrum (where the game-playing user base was) or to the new 16-bit Atari ST and Commodore Amiga series. QL sales were low and slow. Microdrive c...

QL IDE i/face with IDE SSD or DOM - would it work ?

Another non-techie person question. Watched a YT video showing an Amiga with a PATA SSD which plugs into the Amiga IDE interface (uses simple cable) No adapter needed. Worked fine with the Amiga without any fiddling about. Video also has disk-on-module. The DOM plugs directly into the IDE i/face htt...
