Re: QL on the Raspberry Pi...?

It wasnt the SMSq/e license that's the issue, its just with it being a slightly odd license I am loath to put in time for major new features especially if I was to cheat and use libraries to supply some/all of them! What's odd about the BSD licence? Edit: OK, I now think this is about the uQLx lice...

Re: PiStorm

Is it done by RPi GPIO oder did they at least use the SMI bus? There doesn't appear to be any schematic, but according to the sources it's a simple 16-bit GPIO interface. Probably wrong, according to a post on English Amiga board" http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=104462 PiStorm at least u...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

I was looking at pictures of your QLUB interface board, what is the purpose of connector J3, which looks to something to do with the QL Net Connectors. It's the same as the network connectors, just as a header in case somebody wants to connect it differently. I assume that Header J4 is for extra in...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Yes, it works perfectly now! I just sent a screen to the QL in the other room. Cool, glad I could help :-) Thanks Marcel, sorry for being such a noob and sorry for wasting your time Martyn, with a problem for which I was entirely to blame. No worries, but good thing you mentioned this little detail...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

The PCB was designed for the BC559 transistor, which if I'm not mistaken has the pins exactly the other way round compared to your ZTX550... I can't explain why the Q68 can get what your sending, but it would certainly explain why a QL can't.

Re: PiStorm

Not too much. The GC/SGC are designed to use the full bandwidth of the 68008 bus. Both have CPUs with well defined instruction timings. They are "instant-on" and need no shutdown. Note that a lot of firmware development was done by Mr. Tebby himself, to get these true 68000 / 68020 system...

Re: PiStorm

But where does the chip cost 4.80€? When authorized distributors call four times more, it usually has a reason. https://jlcpcb.com/parts/componentSearch?searchTxt=EPM570T100C5 https://lcsc.com/products/CPLD-FPGA_11163.html?q=EPM570T100C5 JLPCB gets its parts form LCSC, they are sister companies. Th...

Is it done by RPi GPIO oder did they at least use the SMI bus? There doesn't appear to be any schematic, but according to the sources it's a simple 16-bit GPIO interface. The remaining chips are just level shifters and latches. Code is pretty clean, but unfortunately they don't seem believe in comm...

Re: PiStorm

Don't have the time to watch the full video, but two things seem odd at first glance: 1. They mention "prices as low as about 13 €" while the PLD alone (no PCB, no assembly, no small stuff) costs 21 € and has delivery time January 2022. China fakes? No fake, they use JLCPCB for assembly a...

Re: SGC problem with QL ROM emulation

Probably, but then I don't see much advantage to the GoldCard, which is available. But hey, I'm all for more hardware ;)
