Re: QL Mouse cable connections

There is a serial mouse driver that that you can use from BASIC. http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/tk/diytk2.zip It's in volume I. I don't think it works with the pointer environment, but from BASIC you should be able to see if the mouse is wired up correctly, and the serial port is working.

Re: MT.DMODE alternative (i.e. how else to change display mode)

Thanks for the link. I will definitely play around with DisCharge. It looks like its written in SuperBASIC and loads in some libraries depending on what is being disassembled. I started reading the initial documentation (from March 2018) but then went to the latest (June 2019) and it seems there wa...

Re: SuperCharge source code

Also, where does it capture the object code (before the codgenerator is called? Is that what the weird screen display does (again, should read the manual as it may explain that)? Yes I think it is. I think somewhere in the manual is says that if you are compiling a large program that won't fit on t...

SuperCharge source code

You may have noticed from another thread, that I am trying to decompile Parser_task from SuperCharge. Is anyone interested in this, other than for preservation? Is anyone interested in trying to update/improve SuperCharge? Or is everyone happy to use Turbo instead. I'm just trying to gauge the level...

Sorry for the double post, but the QL forum threw up some SQL errors, but the post still got through

Re: MT.DMODE alternative (i.e. how else to change display mode)

I can't see anything in the SuperCharge manual that says you can compile without line numbers, except for command files. And I don't quite see how you could do that with a program that has loops, and GO TO's. Seeing to what extrems they went to protect the software, this, too, is probably a special...

Re: MT.DMODE alternative (i.e. how else to change display mode)

I'm in the process of trying to decompile SuperCharge's Parser_task... Oh wow, I didn't realize there was a decompiler for SuperCharge. Did you write it or was that from DP as well? Is it available to play with? Here's the last one I posted here. https://qlforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2373&a...

Re: MT.DMODE alternative (i.e. how else to change display mode)

Yes, most of the strange keywords map to RTS. I guess they were part of the Lenselok protection and thus have been removed when the protection was removed. And it would explain the need for switching to mode 4… Yes, they are. And the Lenselok code still appears to be there in Parser_task. I have no...

Re: MDUMP TASK ?

Back when I wrote my machine code Microdrive dumping program for the MDI driver, I had problems getting it to work with Minerva. It would crash the system, but worked OK with JS ROM's. I seem to remember some time later reading something about that with Minerva. Once you start the Microdrive running...
