I was born just down the road - and moved away then came back to live in Camberley for a while. I remember sending a QL back to that address for repair - and got upgraded ROM's out of it :-)

That reminds me, I got my new glasses yesterday :D

Was struggling to see distance with my old glasses and it turned out that since my last eye test my right eye had flipped from short to long sighted, for no apparent reason

I keep seeing those advertised - I've got a couple of the lilygo boards already - and they are wonderful little things - but I am struggling to justify why I might need this one ;-)

Sigh. I miss BlackBerry 10. I had 5 or 6 BB10 devices. The Classic with it's gorgeous keyboard, whilst not the fastest, is still a wonder of engineering and I get it out of the drawer occasionally and think what may have been if BlackBerry moved just a little more quickly.

30 mins ago these arrived form the US; I'd been after a set in good condition for a while. It feels slightly sacriligeous to remove the shrinkwrap from them as it's been in place for 30 ish years! I'm still missing the getting started booklet, but I'll reckon I'll manage OK without.

I run an OS/2 VM in VirtualBox (actually ArcaOS, which is the currently maintained and commercially available continuation of OS/2 Warp Server 4.5, with loads of modern additions)

I have a soft spot for these old drag and drop GUI builders with BASIC or Pascal or REXX or whatever underneath. Compared to building web apps today, we got things doe so much more quickly back then. Pretty front end with DB/2 or Sybase or similar in the back, happy times.
