Lack of bandwidth to upload pix from the road, and lack of .... *rephrases* presence of too many distractions.... I have been taking pics but they are trapped on my phone and I haven't set up anything to get them off - doing it OTA uses too much bandwidth.

Today I took the ferry to San Fran and explored Pier 39 with Tim and his daughter. I also went on a WWII submarine, practically ran through it taking photos so I wouldn't miss the ferry back. We loaded up the car with stuff. *STUFF* You wouldn't believe the stuff that's coming back with me - and it all gets us further down the road. Thank you Tim, for the hundredth time :)

Just got back to my hotel after visiting the TechShop in San Francisco (it's the oldest location)... Very cool, but with a very different emphasis to ours. In some ways, ours has worked out some of the kinds and mistakes of theirs, but in others, theirs has some cool features I would like to see at ours.

BED!

So Dave, you have an iPhone...

I can use my iPhone to upload pictures to Flickr.
Steps:-
  • Set up a Yahoo account (if you don't already have one)
  • Get the "Camera!" ("Camera Awesome" by SmugMug) app from the app store
  • Take picture using the "Camera!" app
  • Edit picture using the "Camera!" app
  • Use the forward "button" to upload to Flickr (the first time you do this, the app will ask you to create a Flickr account, use your Yahoo account details to sign in)
  • Now your photo is on Flickr in your public area of your Flickr account
  • So goto m.flickr.com to view
  • If you want to get the link info, I have not found a way using the mobile site, so go to http://www.flickr.com
  • Go to your "Photostream" (from "You" on the menu)
  • Move to the top right of the web page and use the forward "button"
  • Use the "Grab the link", copy it and then you can add the photostream link to your forum post ;-)
Note, when using a computer, you can also get the direct links for each photo.
Job done :-)

Mark

I "dislike" Flickr and I "more than dislike" Yahoo! I also don't like using "cloud" services...

That said, I have my laptop with me, so, hehe...

Nope! It is quite famous though. Ask your teenage or 20-something daughters if they recognize it.

As the machine is not an actual wrestler I assume Dave is refering to this?

:-D

It is at Musee Mechanique if you want to go wrestle it in person!
