I have The Distributin 3.02 and it has ProPascal in the xcl folder, but two problems strike me:

1) it seems to be merged with pro-fortran and I don't know how to separate them

2) seems to need Q-emuLator and I just H-A-T-E trying to unqemulate software, it takes so long that I just usually refuse to do it unless I have a lot of time on my hands, which I don't these days.

So if you can just send a ready to go Pro-Pascal without having to phaph around with it, great.

Hi,

If you look in the: xcl/prs/Redist folder there are the ProFor117 and ProPas117 in Zip archives.

This all seems to work individually.

But I have to remember how to programme in Pascal...

If you look in the: xcl/prs/History folder

there is messages from Propero to Urs, stating that the ProFortran and ProPascal can be distrubuted, I have quoted the message here:

Dear Urs,

Thank you for your persistence! I will send this to both your addresses and hope to scope at least one hit.

Concerning your main request:

>I?m kindly ask you if you could and would allow your old QL software
>(Pascal and Fortran 77) and documentation to be made available on the
>SQPP webpage as public domain, freeware or at least free software?

We have no problem in your making the Pascal and Fortran software freely available on your web page.
The documentation is a little more complicated, as much of it is essentially shared with other Prospero
implementations, but users will clearly need it. Again, there would be no problem if it was bundled in
some way with the software; I imagine you can devise some way of doing that.

As to your other point:

>I?m also asking if you have anything left on paper or media (files)
>from your Fortan77 and Pascal development for the QL?

There has been a brief search, and nothing has emerged so far. We will keep you in mind in future.

With best wishes for your venture,

Thanks Derek - ProPascal added "as-is" from The Distribution to the Programming Languages page on my site

Hi Dilwyn,

I have loaded the ProPascal OCRed manual in HTML format into LibreOffice Writer, I will format the manual so that I can produce PDF file.

This mainly for myself, as many yeara ago I did an OU course that was Pascal based, it would nice to revisit it.
