Hi,

I usually have Q-emulator running at Full Speed. But the game was too fast. Changing to QL speed, the game was playable.

This will be the same on a Gold Card, where the SLUG command is required.

Derek

What surprises me most is that there does not seem to be much discussion about this substantial find outside of the forums (apart from one Russian forum where it is mentioned)..

I was expecting quite a bit of interest :o

Well it wasn't a popular game on any other platform either. Just mythical for QLers :-)

I think the same: for the Speccy was a MYTH, for the QL was obviously that Brataccas was written on it but...I was expect more too ;)

The Russian Forum? Can you give a link Rich? ;)

P.S.: no one here can disassemble the code of the Atari ST version and try to make a check if the actual QL ver is very similar or...convert it? ;)

P.S.S.: for the ST was very very popular at the time and was the first Psygnosis title ever, I remember it well. Many people in 1985 and 1986 bought an ST because of Brataccas ;)

Someone on Twitter appears to have found another copy and loaded it successfully on their QL - they are sending the cartridges for dumping soon :D

At least it might be able to patch the broken sectors - although his post shows 2 cartridges again, so I wonder if it is another version of the game!

Well these last two have come from an ex-brit who moved to Italy and then sold all of his carts - there were some other development carts too so I will see what else I can get from this person on Twitter :D Who knows what treats might lie in store (alas he said many of the other carts did not load so hopefully he still has them)...
