Working on it...had intended to do this last night but other things got in the way - probably later tonight if things go to plan.

Which reminds me of the 3.36 update pages, which I have. Sorry for any delay. Who has made the OCR, so pehaps I can send the pages?

It also make me notice, that the original Manual was printed with Tony Tebby's inhouse print program QPLQ for a daisywheel printer.

I hope, the souce files will be accessible, as I stll want to know their way to manage the Pointer Interface.

Thanks Ralf. I can't remember who made the manuals I have here, they have been on my site as eBooks for some time.

Rich Mellor has been able to secure permission for the Liberation Software range of compilers and utilities to be released as freeware.

So I have made available copies of the version 1 compiler and manual (formerly known as Budget QLiberator) and version 3.36 compiler and manual
on a new QLiberator page on my website. The version 1 compiler has less demanding requirements and can run on lower specification QL systems.

Also available is the modified runtimes, patched for the problem where the ERNUM and ERLIN error returns can be reversed in the standard compiler
runtimes if you use the RNUM and ERLIN functions in your programs. Additionally, an enhanced patch program for the compiler, allowing the heap
area to be made larger than the 512K limit of the original software.

The QLOAD and QREF utilities are also available. QLOAD/QSAVE provide tokenised fast load and save programs for SuperBASIC (not needed in SBASIC
as it has its own version of the QLOAD and QSAVE extensions). QREF is a BASIC programming utility for SuperBASIC and SMSQ/E, allowing you to list
variables, procedures, functions etc, plus a QFIND utility to locate a name within a program. A patch program is supplied to patch the standard QREF to work with the new binary and hexadecimal format constants in SBASIC (values preceded by % or $). A manual for this utility will follow when I've had
time to OCR it).

Finally, RPM is a Resident Program Manager, for creating resident files from extensions, SuperBASIC programs, QLiberator object and other executable
programs, and some data files. A manual for this will also follow once I've had time to OCR it.

We are very grateful to Ian Stewart and Adrian Soundy of Liberation Software for letting us make these great programs available.

Download them all from the new QLiberator page on my website at http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/qlib/index.html or at

Ok, I will OCR them (as I promised Per Witte a very long time ago) Maybe someone can put them in such a nice PDF as seen.

BTW: The original QLOAD seems to look for a special place in original QL ROMs, as TT has written somewhere ("SMS a brief history", found elsewhere in the net). On the other hand, it has the the advantage to inform about not loaded MC extensions for the loaded file.

Noone (WL or MK) has ever answered to this omission. In my opinion, it is very useful, to bring that back to TTs QLOAD from SMSQ/E.

The manual that is available with 3.36 looks pretty good. Is there something wrong with it?

If the creator of this version is not around, I'd be willing to work on the manual if someone can get me a text version. I can make the manual simple, or I can include things like screenshots, etc. It's just a matter of what is needed.

I'm afraid I don't know, I only have the PDF of QLib 3 manual. Possibly a PDF to Word converter could achieve that, or if anyone is in contact with Adrian Ives...

I have somewhere seen the un-OCRed PDF of the QLib 3 manual but it's not good quality, would never OCR well.

The v3.36 manual looks like the one I produced and sent to Dilwyn some time ago.

Just noticed that the manual is the original I produced that did not have the README file contents added, so updated version attached. This also fixed some typos.
