Almost all QL/E v3.16 configuration and runtime files on the PC side are from 2017! All major free QL emulators are included. QPC2, SMSQmulator, uQLx 2017, you name it. All properly configured for an easy and quick start.

Yes. ;-) Current uQLx 2017 setup as prepared and supplied with QL/E v3.16 is:

Configuration file uqlxrc-QLE:

Code: Select all

#Holds the configuration of uQLx 2017 for use with QL/E
#19:34 28.02.2017 UK
ROMDIR = ./
SYSROM = minerva_rom
RAMTOP = 16384
PRINT = lpr
CPU_HOG = 0
#XKEY_ALT = Mode_switch # use this to have AltGr as QDOS altkey
FAST_STARTUP = 1
DEVICE = WIN1,QLE.win,qdos-fs
Shell script file uqlx.sh:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh
#Starts the uQLx 2017 binary for use with QL/E
#19:35 28.02.2017 UK
./qm -g 1024x768 -z 1 -f uqlxrc-QLE -b "lrun win1_boot"

Hi Urs,

What does the -z parameter do?

I do not have this as a option on the qm I have compiled.

In my professional life I'm COO and Head of Marketing of a leading Point-Of-Sale hardware manufacturer competing with Diebold Nixdorf, Fujistu, HP, NCR and Toshiba (they took over IBM's retail systems division). Just back from Germany where we spent more than a week to run the thing at our booth at Messe Düsseldorf, I'm would like to share the sneak peek of the only QL computing thing which made an apperance at the show. Well, it was unofficial and before public doors opened, but still. QL forever!

On Q68 the boot program of QL/E offers a menu to select the desired DISP_MODE. Users who use the official QL/E distribution from the sinclairql.net website are requested to ask for an improved boot program, updated after the release of QL/E v3.17. This updated boot program corresponds with the FPGA version 1.00.
