All in all over $400.

The seller has refunded and I get to keep the dead unit.

Now for some searching for circuit diagrams and such.

mk79,

You do know that Dave is producing a device with similar capabilities to the SGC. Look in the General QL Chat. Proposed cost around £70.

It's *just* a memory expansion that contains a CPU to get the two extra address lines. It runs that CPU at stock speed of 7.5MHz and 8-bits data bus, so it in no way compares to an SGC.

It's just a big, cheap memory expansion that does some clever things.

Just saying...

Dave,

It's still better than a dead SGC. :)

Whopper,

If you do find a circuit diagram for the SGC, I would be interested to have a look - I am keen to know how the 2 74hct244 chips are connected...

Hi,

If I thought I could get $400 ???? Whsts thst in real money... I would fix the SGCs I have.

I doubt there is a circuit diagram. But the SGC is only 4 layer board so should be straight forward draw a schamatic. But it still maybe copyright.

Regards,

Derek

Derek,

That included postage and import duties. They took a huge chunk of cash.

Two HCT244 and one HCT367 is for buffering A0 - A19, DSL and R/WL lines from SGC to QL.

I still have my QL items still available, anyone interested, please contact me at tetroid@inbox.ru
