On a "basic" QL (TrumpCard, Minerva, Hermes) can I safely swap Sermouse and printer plugs between SER1 and SER2?
I suppose I should only reconfigure Sermouse driver maybe, am I right?
Thanks in advance.

I don't think so. Not without rewiring the plugs.
SER1 and SER2 were wired differently, one for things like printers, and one for things like modems. Basically the data in's and out's, and the ready/busy lines were swapped. I think the QL manual explained it.

Thanks.Martin_Head wrote:I don't think so. Not without rewiring the plugs.
So if I would move between SER1 and SER2, I must "only" rewire the plugs without reconfiguring SerMouse?
Anyway, where typically are plugged printer and sermouse?

I expect that Sermouse would need to be reconfigured. Have a look at this thread http://qlforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=446Cristian wrote:Thanks.Martin_Head wrote:I don't think so. Not without rewiring the plugs.

Personally I would have the printer in SER1 and the Mouse in SER2
What kind of leads do you have? I guess you have a QL connector to 9 pin D adaptor for the mouse, and a QL connector to 25 pin D printer lead.

OK I think this is the typical arrangement.Martin_Head wrote: I expect that Sermouse would need to be reconfigured.

Yes I do have the printer adaptor and I'm working on the mouse one.Martin_Head wrote:What kind of leads do you have? I guess you have a QL connector to 9 pin D adaptor for the mouse, and a QL connector to 25 pin D printer lead.
Thanks for your information
