Re: QL not working
The RGB pinout is shown in the service guide. It's been a while since I owned one of these, but the splash screen starts first, with the F1 / F2 prompt, and if you don't hit any keys for about 30 seconds, the screen will default to TV mode - a blue screen and pink cursor. The left hand Microdrive wi...

Plugin card plastic surrounds
Does anyone know if these are still made / available, or if anyone has a small stash of these?
I am talking about the plastic end cover that goes over the expansion cards that can be plugged into the left hand side.

Re: QL not working
You could put a scope on the RGB socket and see what you get on the synch pins - this will tell you if the ULA is at least producing video timing pulses. Yellow led suggests power is getting to the board, but it won't tell you much more than that. I would take a look a the circuit diagrams / and blo...

Re: Random hardware ideas!
Unless you have a small board carrying the power and network connectors, to go up that end of the case. A small DC-DC buck converter can handle the power conversion from the nominal 9v to 5V / 3.3V or what ever you needed.

Re: Random hardware ideas!
Interesting thread ... Was looking at my old empty QL case and wondering what to put in it - and been inspired by several threads on the forum. I was thinking about a propeller chip to handle I/O - a thing it excels at. It should not be too difficult to get a QL to talk to one of these on a dedicate...

Re: Qubbide Extended drives
Ah, thanks
That makes sense. So we are making the CS lines more granular, but still using the overall select for that I/O area to gate the other signals through the GAL(s)
I was planning on decoding 4, so just need to use 2 of the address lines A4 and A5 then.
Many thanks for the response.
