Re: Microdrive data line format

Hi Alex! Just wanted to say how impressed I am with your project and its aims - I myself am in the process of completing a microcontroller-based project and it is interesting to compare the different approaches! Once the 'QLUB adapter' software I am still working on is brought to a more complete sta...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Hi Chris! Right, that's clear now. When using Minerva, you are hitting the serio IO bug, but when using MG/JS, the QL is simply not accepting the packets from the QLUB - hence responding as expected to Break. Given that, one might expect that even once you update your Minerva image to v1.98 a1 - cor...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Hi again Chris OK, so just to be clear, the receiving QL (when sending from the QLUB) continues to 'hang' whether you evoke either the LBYTEs or the 'manual' approach outlined? Can you CTRL-Space/Break to regain control of the QL, or is it really 'hung'? Happy to arrange (via PM) a remote session to...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Hi Chris Glad you're persevering with the QLUB! If the Minerva 1.98 (serio) I/O bug is to blame for this behaviour, then you can expect the QL itself to hang as you report. I'm 99% sure that that is the issue you are seeing. To fully validate this, you could simply try a method other than LBYTES to ...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Hi Chris! I had some of Marcel's boards made up. £1 each (PCB only!) if anyone needs one or more. Very nice indeed :-) And thanks again to Marcel for his next PCB design! I wondered though (probably an obvious answer), can the Tennsy ++2.0 be re-programmed while it's in the board? Just in case it ca...

Hi George Yes, I'm fine with your proposal - please take this reply as my formal approval to use the material in your magazine. I think you meant this anyway, please do leave out the "About the author'' - no need for that part nor the rest of the introduction, starting instead straight at secti...

Re: Anyone here like to write an article about QL networking?

Hello Georg! Did you happen to read the article on QL Networking that I attached to the first post in the thread https://www.qlforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3590&start=130 - the article was originally written for submission to Quanta, but as I didn't hear back from the editor, it was poste...

Re: Pascal Crosscompiler Advice

Hi Derek (and Marcel)! Just for reference, even in its current state, the QLUB adapter plus the SBasic file-transfer implementation (SendFileMQ) happily manages QDOS file-headers such as would be needed to successfully transfer from QPC (or other emulator) to a native QL with any Task headers kept i...

Re: QLUB Adapter - Initial Release...

Morning Chr$ I have read in this thread that the standard IF1 ROM v2 version seems to work well with the QLUB, but out of interest, do you have any better/fixed/tarted up ROM code versions for the IF1? If I were to fit a ROM-el I'd want to pack it was as many suitable ROMs as possible ;) My favourit...
