Re: QL SD card system....
No, toolkit provided with pcml-interface is very basic. In fact I also tried it out with Q-emulator and when you load TK2 (as the QL-SD would do) and thus not use Q-emulator's own TK2, the same thing happens. And then when using WCOPY, after a certain amount of files it reads "out of memory&quo...

Re: QL SD card system....
I have installed my QL-SD internally, taped it on the iron keyboardplate.
Works great with the PCML Q+ 256k + twin diskdrive.
But I had one issue: using WCOPY simply crashed the system.
Finally (after a lot of trial-and-error) found out MAKE_DIR_BIN was causing the problem!

Re: QL SD card system....
No no! SD-card was allright!
When mentioning the downloading of the software, i meant to say that even the unfortunate not-SD-QL-owners can try it out.

Re: QL SD card system....
I haven't installed the SD card yet. Having read the manual :!: I think it's a good idea to build up the QL_BDI.BIN file first, with the help of Q-emulator. You don't even have to unpack the QL-SD package to do this. Just download the starter pack from Dilwyn's site and follow the instructions. (one...

Re: Best tool for imaging QL discs?
Honestly don't know anymore. I'm servicing a varied number of oldies here and always trying to transfer forgotten software to antique hardware, sometimes with succes. Latest succes was with an Atari PC with 5.25 drive: MS-DOS-program from Internet on modern Windows-PC to USB-stick to old PC with dis...

Re: Best tool for imaging QL discs?
Have you tried FloImg (PC-program) for reading/writing Atari ST disks?
If (if) you can read the QL disks, you can save them as ST diskimages.
These ST diskimages then can be edited with MSA Converter, and files can be saved to your harddisk.
IIRC I edited QL floppies with FloImg (a while ago).

To get you going, the Psion programs as PC zip-file, not a QL zip!

Re: Missing Sinclair QL Titles
I found two cartridges labeled GIGA. One reported... "bad or changed medium" (yaaawn), the other booted and...froze the QL. I managed to WCOPY the entire cartridge to floppy though! On Qemulator the program boots, shows a welcome screen and for a very short moment you get the message "...
