I think Speedscreen is better. I bought both at the time and always ended up using Speedscreen. I found most screen handling was 6-8x faster. Even the slowest improvements were in the order of 2x. I think there's a lot of daydreaming in the possible future scope of projects. We're just shooting the breeze. I think the Pi3 is capable of passively observing the bus as a minimum. It should be able to follow what address the CPU is reading or writing and what data was moved. The Pi3 is fast enoug...
