Re: Software updates

Hi Per! Did you notice whether or not the Q68 bootloader detected a 'normal' or 'extended' PS/2 mouse at start-up? (It flashes-by a bit quick...) I find that my extended PS/2 mouse isn't always detected as such intermittently. Probably a timing issue, but not something I usually bother about (I hat...

Re: Software updates

Hi Derek, Strange that: I just upgraded my Q68 with the latest SMSQ/E, and the scroll wheel did not scroll nor the scroll button butt. I though this might be a new "feature". However, on starting up this morning everything worked fine! No idea what happened (or whether it may happen again)...

Re: Software updates

<> By the way, another highly desired feature in this version of SMSQE for Q68 is the functionality of the "Home" and "End" keys, now the use of those keys is more predictable (great!). The scroll wheel on my mouse doent produce any output. Does it work for anyone/everyone else?

Re: SMSQ/E on Atari

I re-partitioned my SD card to use some smaller "GEM" partitions with 16MB and that now seems to work, even on an external ACSI harddisk 16 MB was a lot back in those days ;) Sorry, but I know my Atari and SMSQ partitions were larger than 16Mb. Back in the day SMSQ/E supported at least GE...

Re: SMSQ/E on Atari

Fond memories indeed ;)
Its so long ago now I cant remember any details, but here are a couple of lines from my original boot file for my Atari system:

Code: Select all

..
250 WIN_DRIVE 3,1,0,2:REMark Atari DATA
260 WIN_DRIVE 4,1,0,3:REMark Atari SYSTEM
270 WIN_REMV 2
..
Perhaps that gives a clue..?

Re: In the market

I just discovered another unzip program that is half the size of the standard QL unzip at only 59K. It doesnt seem as versatile as the infozip one, but might be useful where memory is tight. I think it came with QLC? I didnt find any manual, and only tested it briefly. It might be useful for that in...

Re: Norm's Blog and QDOSMSQ Web Site

<>Please let me know if I should bother with the old QDOSMSQ wiki or not. Thanks. <> I used to take a peek every now and then, but after a while it seemed not to change very much - at least not on the QL side - so I may have forgotten about it. (Sorry) Maintaining a site can be a lot of bother and ...
