Re: A small QL

Hi, I totally agree, the Q68, Qzero all are brilliantly designed. I realised this when I saw the Q40, and I went on to build the Q60. I maybe at the limit of my technical ability, I seem to blinded my technology and struggle with the design of FPGA. The Tang Nano 20K, seemed a good idea, for my own ...

Re: A small QL

HI Peter, I totally agree, I am totally sold on the Q68, which I use on a daily basis, all my QL work is done on the Q68, it is the most complete system. I thank you for designing it and I just hope my production of such a marvel, does not diminish your high standards. I may f wasted money on the Ta...

Re: Dynamic program loading in SuperBASIC

Hi,

How do the programme loader S*BASIC lines get added to the programme being loaded?

All the large programmes I load are loaded within a second of pressing Enter key.

Re: A small QL

Hi,

The Tang Nano 20K development board, cost me £29, but the price has dropped to just above £23.

I am trying to learn FPGA Verilog programming, this seemed to be a good solution.

dilwyn wrote: Thu May 16, 2024 12:20 pm Just had a quick look on eBay for Z88s and accessories, feeling a little nostalgic after getting rid of my Z88 some years ago.

Like many retro systems, the prices they go for somewhat amazed me!
I have 2 Z88, which I have to upgrade, I will get them done and see if anyone want one.

Re: QSTAR 2

Hi, The Toolkit 2 defaults usually to: DATA_USE "MDV2_" PROG_USE "MDV1_" This can be checked with: PRINT DATAD$ PRINT PROGD$ If there is no device entered on the command line, the Toolkit 2 default is used. This might explain the activity on MDV2_ Just change the DATAD and PROGD ...

Re: A small QL

Hi, I think a good Small QL would be a Raspberry Pi running Raspberry Pi OS Lite, which does not have a Desktop. Just a console or command line terminal. Use sQLux, which does not need a GUI system running. Once sQLux is compiled and installed, executing the emulator will run at full screen. Works r...
