Re: Dynamic program loading in SuperBASIC

I suppose it depends on not adding too many "progress" lines in between lines of SuperBASIC so as not to have too much effect on loading times.

Re: Video cable compatible with all Scart TVs

Probably not very relevant here, I don't know, there was sometimes an issue if a Gold/Super Gold Card was involved. One eBay supplier made different SCART monitor leads for QLs with Gold Cards or Super Gold Cards (maybe both, can't remember). They use the CSYNC as ram refresh signal, so squashing i...

Re: Video cable compatible with all Scart TVs

Oops, minutes after my first post I remembered the cables I mentioned came from Retro Computer Shack: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260814300633?itmmeta=01HXVXAG2TNC9CYCWE1HC1VWTB&hash=item3cb9be65d9:g:XKsAAOSwUUVmEQx0&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA0BIob9t%2F4ZgE7l%2BnXFvOWu18spedVFOOaOceagACWPNJcF1sLy%...

Re: Pointer Absolute Position

To show how this could be used in a "real" program, I wrote a program called PtrPostn (pointer position), which both beeps when pointer is at the edges of the screen and when you press CTRL P it highlights the current pointer position by drawing some animated circles around the pointer ori...

Re: Sick Q68

Bought a Q68 about a year ago, fired it up and everything worked. Couldn't play for long as I was in the middle of a change of location. So it got packed up again ready for the move. Finally got time to sort my new computer room out last week. My Q68 has decided that it doesn't like any of my CF ca...

That's one of the (the main) reasons why I'm not sure whether the header preservation methods we have devised over the years are really of any help at all or just create even more confusion. I sometimes think it 's the latter.
Quite so.

Re: QSTAR 2

The zip file was created on PC, so the executable has a header. The source files are in subdir, maybe unzip cannot work with subdirs , I don't know, I'm just guessing. Solution: unzip on PC and then move the files to a QL container I will create a QDOS zip file also and upload it here. It had a Qem...

Re: QSTAR 1

I'm sorry Andrew, but I have to report a possible bug in QStar! I was using it in QPC2 v5.02 mode 32, resolution 1024x768, with QPC_QLSCREMU 8. The game runs OK until I press F1 to alter the animation delay. After doing that and returning to the game, the display is corrupted, see screen shot below....
