Re: 68060 based QL system?

Few things are more unrealistic than porting SMSQ/E to the ARM architecture. So I never even start thinking of it.

Good thing AmigaOS guys are more positive :-D (although they do have advantage of bigger usebase)

Re: CTL plug type

Really we just need high quality photos of the D9 sockets on the EU/USA machines. Ive heard its the same motherboard so it should be pretty easy to convert a UK on to that spec.

From the wiring diagram it looks like they just soldered the 9 pin connector top row into the CTL connector holes.

Re: 68060 based QL system?

If we are to move forward, then how about impossible solution of using USB keyboards. I say impossible, as there is no solution available. There is PS/2 to USB converters, which only on some USB keyboard that support PS/2 data/clock signals ( Not sure about). MiST has a little ARM that does the USB...

That is about the strongest protection that is available, although in reality there is little comeback when someone steals your code!

That's the opposite side of the same coin of how I feel about QL/E. ;)

Mac OS X is just Unix with a Mach kernel. Blah blah blah! ;)

You forgot with an even more unintuative WIMP environment than QL :-D

I used to have a Gotek and many others have used them successfully.

What Dave says, the actual physical sector format is the same as a PC.
