Re: Troubleshooting black display?

Try to connect directly the cable to a TV which has the SCART port. Connect always to SCART 1 (AV1 signal).
Also you may try to connect to an old TV via the antenna cable.
Is your QL-SCART cable homemade? Which HDMI converter model are you using?

Re: Graphic drawing Qemulator/QPC2

For what I can see here, all the QPC window is stretched. So it's normal it's also stretched all the graphics inside.
The original modes (8 and 4) have been set to draw round circles on a 4:3 display (rectangular pixels).
This QPC window instead seems to display square pixels.

Re: All RAM chips destroyed??

Yes I confirm that the mods (resistors, wiring) on 8302 have never been done at all. Surely I'm going to apply the mods as soon as possible, anyway I suppose they should not affect the startup process.
Thank you again for your teachings and suggestions. Now I feel so near the truth...

Re: All RAM chips destroyed??

Here below is a summary of the repair progress till now. A possible next step might be the modification on 8302 (adding R102 and R103).

I'm afraid this is too much for my limited knowledge. Anyway, thank you very much for your suggestions and efforts.

Re: All RAM chips destroyed??

are the pixel noise patterns fixed (thus stored in RAM) or shimmery (thus happening after RAM)? The pixel noise is not fixed, it quivers continuously and randomly. I have strong suspicions about 8302, because: - it had the dirtiest pins (now cleaned as much as I could); - it's one of the few chips ...
