Re: Gold Card / Super Gold Card ROM patching...

I have a ROM image of the GC 2.24 (taken from the ROM itself which is 64K with some gaps). I can post it if you like.

regards, Jan.

Re: IO.FLINE doubts and emulation

(... excellent explanation of SB floating data areas skipped...) [*]BTW $28100 (a1+a6) in your example doesn't look like a reasonable load address for a BASIC program - The QL's system variables start at $28000 and occupy an area of $480 bytes - $28100 is in the middle of the system variables, those...

Re: Installing SMSQ/E

I am looking to install SMSQ/E onto Qemulator (the unregistered version) to do some Network tests. I have downloaded the smsqe332_binaries.zip file. But I don't see a text file telling me how to actually install/start SMSQ/E. Do I LRESPR a file? If so which one? Bear in mind this is the unregistere...

Re: Boxing Game

If you want to convert old MS BASIC programs to the QL you might want to have a look at my BASICODE translator: https://github.com/janbredenbeek/QL-Basicode I developed this to run BASICODE programs transmitted on the radio in the Netherlands (also in UK and Germany) which were largely based on a su...

Re: QLMultimon - source question

I wonder what else you had running in your 96 Mb set up? MT_FREE returns the biggest area of free ram in the transient memory area I believe (from Pennell) so maybe you had some fragmentation in there perhaps? According to Pennell MT.FREE returns the largest free area in TRNSP or SV.BASIC-SV.FREE-$...

Re: QLMultimon - source question

Hi Norman, I have finished (unless you have more correction) the commenting of MON1_ASM now, I think. I've raised a pull request for you to fetch the latest code back into your repository. Github says that it will merge quite happily. Thanks, I've merged them. I've also raised three issues (sorry!) ...

Re: QLMultimon - source question

Also, newly created jobs inherit the table from the creating job, not the owner job. Of course, if that job goes away without clearing JB_TRAPV you're in big trouble when an exception occurs... That sounds a bit like a system design fault to me, even if it's documented in the Technical guide (p. 14...

NormanDunbar wrote:I knew I was wrong about the exceptions! It was the job owner and child jobs that I was thinking about. Thanks.

Is there a link to your corrections please, and I will get them merged.

I've done a pull request with my changes, you should be able to merge it into your own source tree.
