Re: QL PSUs, Cases, Manuals and Boxes

Hi Rich - terrific - 2nd-class post is fine. I'll move the money via Paypal (£ 39.70) and PM you once done. Thanks!

Re: QL PSUs, Cases, Manuals and Boxes

Hi Rich! May I purchase a complete set of QL bottom plus top case plus a fresh keyboard membrane? I still have a semi-working main-board that I'd like to house once fixed. I don't suppose you have a spare 68008 CPU knocking around as well? I guess all these are on SMR - I'll place my order there if ...

Re: Q68 Notice 3 - Update

Thanks! As we develop this aspect of the project, I guess we should spin-off a new thread... :-)

Re: Q68 Notice 3 - Update

BTW Peter Are we sure that the output is solely sourcing current OR tri-stated? The standard contention check (during the SCOUT phase) is rather dependent upon allowing the line to float when an inactive bit was just sent (the pull-down resisters obviously take care of grounding in the absence of an...

Re: Memory fault

Hi OggyUK That address is in the first 48KB of the memory-map, which on the QL is always ROM. Seems odd that you even got to detect this... Perhaps you mis-quoted the address or dropped a digit? All DRAM is instead from 131072 (128k) upwards and, on an unexpanded QL, will be 'mirrored' every 256K. I...

Re: Q68 Notice 3 - Update

Hi Peter! OK, we're on... Just to be clear, the components still needed include everything in the green mark-up I've added below? qlnet_q68_markup.jpg Do you have any preferences/existing ideas for how we would make the connection to those pads on the Q68 PCB? For example, we wouldn't want to block ...

Re: Q68 Notice 3 - Update

Now, there's a provoking proposition... I've spent quite some time reverse engineering QLNET (if you can call it that - the present documentation and availability of source code went a long way) - whilst developing the QLUB adapater (still in progress...) and would gladly team-up to assist with a mo...

Re: Q68 Notice 3 - Update

Thanks Peter - sounds promising!

Glad to hear that QLNET is still in mind, even if not implemented yet :-)

Re: Q68 Notice 3 - Update

Brilliant work, guys! Of all the excellent recent and on-going hardware development projects for our humble QL, the Q68 excites me the most! In due course, would live to hear more about the spec of the expansion connector - one of the 'features' of the original QL that keeps me glued is the simplici...
