Re: 68060 based QL system?

I know it sounds fanciful, but if I had a choice, Id wish to live and play in an ecosystem that did not involve CLAW (Chrome, Linux, Apple, Windows) or any of that creepy shite. One would have to be able to do some normal "office" type stuff, as well as browse the Web, and read email. It w...

Re: Mawdraw problem (easyptr4)

Hi, do you think it is possible to format a single item of an application window menu so that it always appears as a single element but divided into two lines? I tried to insert chr $ (10) inside an element of an arrray like this: a $ (0) = "Hi" & chr $ (10) & "For" but ...

Re: QL Graphics

Some anomalies emerged between reality and my understanding of it. Inebriation does not come into it, at least not prior to me undertaking following tests. I hope someone here can tell me whats g'won. This is the test I ran: 100 FOR x% = 48 TO 58 STEP 2 110 ch = FOPEN("con") 120 WINDOW#ch;...

Re: Testing Tetroid backplane and GC

I have a copy of SERMouse_rxt, V3.04. Cant find any documentations or anything. I think its just a leftover from my Aurora days. If...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread

I am testing some specific functions and Q68/SMSQE commands. I have several drives configured (WIN1_, WIN2_, ... FAT1_, QUB1_). Everything works fine, but I have two questions about behavior that I don't understand. 1) The win_drive$ and qub_drive$ functions give me errors. For example: PRINT WIN_D...

Re: Hating on my Q68...

Dave, I dont envy you, if you are truly starting from scratch. However, you cant expect to learn all you need in a few minutes. Unlike Windows, the QL doesnt have a billion dollar GUI. If I might suggest? Start up without a boot file, then work your way through the Q68 manual, by typing any commands...
