Turbo versions

Hi. I'm thinking about revisiting my Turbo and SuperCharge decompilers, to try to fill in the gaps in the library files. To do this, I could do with copies of old versions of Turbo. So that I can write and compile test programs, to disassemble and extract the various library routines. I've currently...

Re: MicroP Controller with Minerva Issue

I remember that I once had a QL that if I plugged a MicroP floppy interface, and an Miracle expander RAM into. The QL would not work. Either card on its own, and everything was OK. I don't remember if Minerva was involved or not. I did not investigate it much, I think I just mixed and matched interf...

Re: Sinclair QL + QSound demo

Also there is a mdidriver in the utility section of dilwyn page that allow to mount this image as a microdrive from floppy or other media, and then you can copy to a real microdrive. Just a small note. The Qlay image would need to be converted to an MDI image first. There are commands in the MDI dr...

Re: Problem after installing minerva

You might also want to try removing and re-fitting the 68008, ZX3801, ZX8302, and the 8049. The sockets are not very good, and the IC legs can get tarnished. And they tend to 'creep' out of the sockets over time. When you first removed the ROM's you might have flexed the PCB enough to disturb one of...

Re: Recommended maintance & MDV ULA Problem

Hi again Martin Not sure how a multimeter would.ipact your readings, but I regularly use my simple/cheapo USB digital analyser with PulseView software to monitor those signals. There's something at the back of my memory about how FET's can be turned on during cold testing with a meter. But I might ...

Re: Recommended maintance & MDV ULA Problem

Thanks for the description. I've got to sit down and do testing on a working unit, to see what I should expect. I've been looking at these COMMS IN/OUT signals, as I found during cold testing with a meter, different readings on these pins on the two microdrive units in the faulty QL. However I also ...

Re: Recommended maintance & MDV ULA Problem

Hi Martin! I've never had a problem with RESET that required that Cap to be replaced - when I have hitn problems with reset, it was either down to the ZX8302 or something more fundamental with the main ZX8301, but replacing the Cap is a simple and cheap enough operation to eliminate it. I've notice...

All of them of them having at least one problem, And I have now got around to trying to fix them. I am replacing all the network sockets, as they are all ...

Re: SMSQ/E Colour issue!

Do you see the same swapped colour effect in other stipple patterns?
Maybe SMSQ/E just uses a different 'chequerboard' stipple pattern, which would not effect the colour seen by the eye.
