There is a version of SMSQ/E for Q-emulator at:

Tried this, Qemulator just hangs.

So I have just dug a couple of QL's out of mothballs, (I was going to have to it eventually anyway) Networked them together, Stuck a Gold Card in one. Then I can LRESPR the Gold Card SMSQ/E file.

Re: Installing SMSQ/E

I had a quick try yesterday. There is barely enough memory to load it into. And when you CALL it, Qemulator throws up an error message.

So if SMSQ/E needs to write to the ROM area. Does that mean that you cannot run SMSQ/E on a standard QL. Only on Gold cards?

Installing SMSQ/E

I am looking to install SMSQ/E onto Qemulator (the unregistered version) to do some Network tests. I have downloaded the smsqe332_binaries.zip file. But I don't see a text file telling me how to actually install/start SMSQ/E. Do I LRESPR a file? If so which one? Bear in mind this is the unregistered...

Re: Floating point conversion

Thanks everyone for the replies. I don't really want to go to the trouble of installing a toolkit just for this, So I will probably go for Per's solution.

Floating point conversion

Has anyone got a SuperBASIC routine that will convert a number into the six byte QL Floating Point internal form? Preferably returning a string of 12 Hex digits.

I would like to write a Function to do something like x$=FP$(16453)

Re: Pyramide Software - Some Freeware

I have been trying again to get Tridim to run in QPC2. I can get the Manipulation program to run. But I am having problems with the main Tridim program. Tridim crashes at odd places, and does not usually finish starting itself up by drawing the menus. I have a couple of questions I was wondering if ...

Re: PSU alternative?

The PSU http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/docs/hardware/QLperip.zip shows the 16 AC as a separate winding with one end connected to the 0v (GND) line. If as Silverter says, there is an error in the service manual circuit, So that the + and - 12 volt circuit would make sense. Then the AC signal arriving at the...

Re: PSU alternative?

I was looking at the circuit diagrams of the +/- 12 volt supply on the QL and the PSU trying to figure out how they work. The PSU circuit states that it's a 16v AC winding on the transformer. On the QL circuit the +/- 12 volt regulators use the 9 volt DC line as a ground/reference? You can get plus ...
