Re: QL/E

On Q68 the boot program of QL/E offers a menu to select the desired DISP_MODE. Users who use the official QL/E distribution from the sinclairql.net website are requested to ask for an improved boot program, updated after the release of QL/E v3.17. This updated boot program corresponds with the FPGA ...

Re: Show us your rig!

After a very busy November, today I had some hours for QL tinkering. Did setup my Q68 and tested various things...

QL/E v3.17 on Q68 in Aurora DISP_MODE (5) looks nice and scores a QTop-Index of 11.981.

Re: Run benchmarks and share your results

Two more hints:
- Do not use the mouse or the keyboard during the benchmark tests.
- To compare two systems, make sure you did use the same directory device in the STORE benchmark.

Re: Speccy 35th anniversary!

The celebration event at the CCH in Cambridge was held two weeks ago. For me it was just awesome! One of the very best Sinclair events in my life. For those who did not attend, there are a few videos available: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQHAWWG2O0e3mzbk-xlFkoJItZ-dgI4Gw More to come… Urs

Q68 support thread

Let's start this even before GA of the machine.

First questions:
- What does S*BASIC report when one invokes PRINT MACHINE?
- What does S*BASIC report when one invokes PRINT DISP_TYPE at the available resolutions?

Re: Hello from Nottinghamshire!

Morning, Welcome and Congratulation! Good decision to buy a QL or two. First job after checking it worked was an open up and clean. The leds didn't work so it was simply a case of reconnecting the cables. It is an issue 3. Are you sure it's an Issue 3? Common UK built machines are Issue 5,6 or 7. Se...

Re: URGENT / IMPORTANT: BANDERSNATCH (MIA)

Just do it: one Md's was totally empty and other have so many bad sectors that can't be absolutely used to compare files. Understand. But still, can you please post the other dumps here too? Me and others can then try to seek for parts (even parts of a sector) which can be taken and patched into yo...

Re: URGENT / IMPORTANT: BANDERSNATCH (MIA)

This is the BEST dump I can do on 5 different Bandersnatch MD's I found until then (see attachment). I was off-Forum for a while (summertime). GREAT NEWS! This is the most important QL MIA software found since 68K/OS in 2009. Question: IIRC there was more than just one Bandersnatch cartridge in thi...
