Re: Speccy 35th anniversary!

The celebration event at the CCH in Cambridge was held two weeks ago. For me it was just awesome! One of the very best Sinclair events in my life. For those who did not attend, there are a few videos available: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQHAWWG2O0e3mzbk-xlFkoJItZ-dgI4Gw More to come… Urs

Q68 support thread

Let's start this even before GA of the machine.

First questions:
- What does S*BASIC report when one invokes PRINT MACHINE?
- What does S*BASIC report when one invokes PRINT DISP_TYPE at the available resolutions?

Re: Hello from Nottinghamshire!

Morning, Welcome and Congratulation! Good decision to buy a QL or two. First job after checking it worked was an open up and clean. The leds didn't work so it was simply a case of reconnecting the cables. It is an issue 3. Are you sure it's an Issue 3? Common UK built machines are Issue 5,6 or 7. Se...

Re: URGENT / IMPORTANT: BANDERSNATCH (MIA)

Just do it: one Md's was totally empty and other have so many bad sectors that can't be absolutely used to compare files. Understand. But still, can you please post the other dumps here too? Me and others can then try to seek for parts (even parts of a sector) which can be taken and patched into yo...

Re: URGENT / IMPORTANT: BANDERSNATCH (MIA)

This is the BEST dump I can do on 5 different Bandersnatch MD's I found until then (see attachment). I was off-Forum for a while (summertime). GREAT NEWS! This is the most important QL MIA software found since 68K/OS in 2009. Question: IIRC there was more than just one Bandersnatch cartridge in thi...

Re: SoQL ( TCP-IP )

My fellow Jon wrote soQL. I remember well the incentive he received at QL2000. See pictures at: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=C250D8748980CE5A&id=C250D8748980CE5A%21803&parId=C250D8748980CE5A%21733&o=OneUp And, in winter 2004 we tried it out at the workshop of the Swiss Sinclair User Gr...

Re: q-liberator

Both Adrian and Ian (Liberation Software Limited) have now agreed that all of their products - QLiberator, QLOAD and QREF can now be released as freeware. :D Great news! Thanks Rich for being persistent. This is the most important QL software freeware declaration since QPAC 1 and 2 in February 2014.

Re: The Future of the QL Wiki

Urs owns sinclairql.net (but does not have time to sort out his existing site) Got a PM from Rich on May 25th. My reply was "There are some broken links which I'm aware of. Will all be fixed on a rainy day." Well there were some rainy days recently. Result is that the sinclairql.net site ...

Re: RE: QTOP

It does work, it starts a new instance of Qtop-Desk every time you invoke the QTOP icon. Go to SBASIC and invoke JOBS. You’ll see a job named “Alt SysReq” (this is QTop-Desk) for each started instance of QTop-Desk. But you may not get aware that a new instance was started because it starts QTop-Desk...
